Course description:
This program focuses on the physiology of
nutrition and kinesiology of resistance and
cardiovascular exercise. This knowledge
is summarized to explain the simplicity of
fat loss once common sense guidelines are
applied. Despite the myriad of modern diets,
“Turning Back the Hands of Time” is designed
around adjustable dumbbells, an adjustable
bench, a good pair of running shoes and
consuming cleaner, more nutritious food.
Professional background:
Dr. Emmett received his DDS from the
University of Maryland in 1989 and his
specialty degree in Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery from Georgetown University
Medical Center in 1994. He has a clinical
instructor faculty appointment at the
University of Maryland Medical System.
Dr. Emmett has diplomat status with both
the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery and the National Dental Board
of Anesthesiology. He is a fellow of the
American College of Dentists, American
Association of Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgeons and the American Dental Society
of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Emmett also has
a certifi cate in Personal Training and
Sports Nutrition from the Parillo
Performance Fitness
