Course description:
Informative, half- or full-day presentations combine any of the following: Periodontal Disease Activity & Disease Entities: Understanding and treating periodontal disease non-surgically by science and experience; surgical or regenerative treatment when indicated. Furcations & Furcation Management: Fact of fiction? Treating and maintaining furcated teeth for the long-term. Is it possible? Cosmetic-Esthetic Periodontal Treatment: Taking the average case to the next level through cosmetic periodontal surgical treatment and/or periodontal tooth movement. Reality or glitz? Periodontal Treatment & The Dental Team: The “team” approach to treatment planning for periodontal patients who require complex restorative dentistry.
Professional background:
Dr. Sterrett maintains a successful private practice limited to periodontics in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is board certified having also earned a masters in science from Goteborg University (Sweden). With a foundation of 15 years’ teaching experience (division head and acting director of the graduate program in periodontics, Dalhousie University; and associate professor, Medical College of Georgia) and 20 years’ clinical practice, he delivers an enriched, fact-based presentation on “real world” dentistry.
